This year, 2007, marks the 40th anniversary of the Pink Floyd\'s classic debut album, \'Piper at the Gates of Dawn\'. For this reason, the VegetableFriends discussion group (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/VegetableFriends/) has organised an online petition, on behalf of all Syd Barrett / early Pink Floyd fans worldwide. We, the undersigned, urge EMI to pay respect to the late Syd Barrett\'s musical legacy by releasing Pink Floyd\'s seminal album \'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn\' in a fitting expanded (deluxe edition) CD box set. Like many other fans worldwide, we are convinced that the *only* worthy tribute would be the release of a special *definitive* commemorative box set, one that contains not only the original stereo version of the UK album (as opposed to the remastered edition), but at very least the now ultra-rare *original MONO* version of this classic album (as opposed to the remastered mono CD version), a tribute which preserves the artwork of the original release in 1967 for posterity. \"Can we have some of the outtakes, radio sessions and rare singles as well please\" - Anon.
