This may give the admin and idea of how much we would like our children back at school but they are trying to be safe and following CDC and the governor's guidelines.

It's time to reopen the school and follow the science and CDC recommendations. My daughter is suffering depression because of the isolation.

Would love for my kindergartener to experience what should be one of his most exciting years. Also minus the mask!

I would love for my children to also return, however return WITHOUT requiring masks. This is detrimental to the immune system and harmful on a psychological level. Children need to be in a learning environment where they feel safe, secure and empowered, not in an environment promoting/supporting fear of germs, fear of ones body/immune system, human connection, etc.

My kid desperately needs to go back. He needs the companionship he gets from the other kids.

Its been scientifically proven that children are NOT AT RISK being at school. Besides - now that Biden is in office, you'll see "numbers" declining. Not because there is anything better being done, but because they dont need YOU living in fear anymore.

I uprooted my family so we could homeschool due to not believing in virtual learning. We were at pioneer for a reason. It’s natural and holistic approach enriched with nature/outdoor learning. I was/am extremely disappointed that outdoor learning wasn’t even an option. NY had great success with outdoor schools during previous outbreaks like the Spanish flu /tuberculosis for example. Had you offered that we would have stayed. It is not natural to learn online. It is not natural to seclude oneself. In person relationships are so important for education during developmental stages. Keeping kids out of physical school is teaching them to fear one another and personal contact. What kind of life is that? Our bodies are created to survive and thrive surrounded closely by family, friends, and community.

We want our children learning directly from the teachers. Not through virtual pre recorded videos.

Sadly the family that brought us into this school, had already pulled their kids from it, due to this issue. Also the family that we brought into the school, have also left. We are hoping that in person schooling will resume and utilize all aspects of this schools abilities to support outdoor and indoor teaching. We are hoping that in person education will resume and not just pods, this way we can continue to grow with the school and all of our children can attend it.

I am optimistic that our amazing school community will find a way to love each other and offer grace to each other through this, as we all try to find the best way to move forward and reconnect as a community ❤️

I am still in shock that my underfunded, overcrowded, faceless behemoth of a county public high school has maneuvered its way to having students on campus while my small, personal, individual, nature and community driven pioneer school has not. The next few weeks, month will determine if we stay.
