The mayors of the south they are there to look for the puplic interest they got any thing to say.

health of the citizens is an invaluable asset. It should never be put in danger.

We don't want such a lovely bay to be spoilt but above all we don't need any trouble.

I like the South to remain a safe place.

.... yes of course they are concerned. Let me say this. In the 80s I was working in Libya in the oil industry. We had a blowout at Zelten Gas Field that took 8 days to bring under control (by a specialized foreign company called Boots & Coots). Immediately after the explosion, our safety dept and medical crew drove over to Zelten from Marsa El Brega. When they reached Zelten heights, they say an enormous fire ball bouncing over the desert surface and moving towards them and great speed. They made a quick u-turn and drove fast but the fire ball was fast approaching their vehicles. Luckily they reached the slopes of Zelten field and drove to safety. The fire ball had reached Zelten heights, bounced at the edge due to cross winds and reversed it's course and eventually burnt itself out on the desert plane. After a few days, the safety dept inspected the area where the fire ball had passed and found that everything in its pass was burnt to cinders., i.e., safety metal signs, road signs and telephone posts. I worked in Marsa Brega for 10 years, and this story was narrated to me by a Maltese doctor who had formed part of the medical rescue team. He told me that it was a terrifying experience.

Lack of sensitivity and arrogance.

We have a government that is extremely arrogant

We are dealing with a big headed PM. Must protest publicly & forcefully.

It is unheard off doing such a big project with lack of sensitivity studies. Here we are speaking about people who can be negatively affected. See Cyprus for example - an example recalled by our prime minister. Are we a reflection of what happened?

Hoping the Parliamentary/Ministerial Committee for the South, the respective Local Councils,MEPA and Malta Tourism Authority are allowed to do the work they have been entrusted to do, effectively and after proper research and due citizen consultation,come to a decision and aire it publicly without fear or favour.

It's inconceivable how any government could be so irresponsible to impose this risk onto a fraction of the population, risk a further blow to the economy, continue to undermine the country's reputation, disrupt the freeport, fishing and property market and so on. I can't believe it. And all this after managing to secure stable gas prices just for 5 years.

We want no danger on our doorstep

This is not wath the PL promised us before the General election.

Keep the South safe for families.

Malta does not have a statesman as a PM now - only an irresponsible and presumptuous person.

I sincerely believe it poses a grave danger to the locality and residents alike otherwise i would not have signed it
