Remove Graphic Adult Sexual Content from PRA’s Library

As a grandmother of 11, 5 who attend PRA. I am concerned. Protecting the innocence of children should be the priority of all who serve our precious children.

I have grandchildren who attend your school. I absolutely am appalled that you think you should teach these thing to children! Number one, it is not the place of the school to teach this. This is a parents job to teach such things to their children. Number 2, my belief system is completely opposed to your idea of gender neutrality, gender identity. We are all born male or female. You have a right to you “opinions”, but you have no right shoving them down the throats of of people who have opposing opinions. And your opinions are based on what society is currently saying is fact. There is no proof of any of this. Where is the science in this? You were educated to follow the science as you claimed with Covid. But there is NO science to back this up. Please, stop!

No need for this material in schools

These types of books don’t need to be in our school.

Please remove it. It’s not necessary for educational purposes at that level.

This is disgusting and absolutely needs to be removed from the library!!

If this is allowed, then what’s next? We have no boundaries. This is against the law and those involved should be arrested.

Allowing sexual material like this is way out of bounds. If a police officer found that an adult was sharing this material with a minor and also talking about sexual orientation in private conversations without parents, that person would be arrested for grooming there child... Yet, we allow the school, in all it's wisdom, do exactly this. Wake up admin. There is no justification you can give me that makes since... But id like to see you try and incriminate yourself.

Whoever authorized or believes that material belongs in a school library should not be allowed around children! Any employee that knew about this and did nothing needs to be fired immediately. Very disturbing!

I feel that a school library should only contain books that are age-appropriate for the students accessing the library. Title 18 - Criminal Code Article 7 - Offenses Relating to Morals Part 5 - Sexually Explicit Materials Harmful to Children § 18-7-502. Unlawful acts states the following: (1) It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to sell or loan for monetary consideration to a child: (a) Any picture, photograph, drawing, sculpture, motion picture film, or similar visual representation or image of a person or portion of the human body which depicts sexually explicit nudity, sexual conduct, or sadomasochistic abuse and which, taken as a whole, is harmful to children; or (b) Any book, pamphlet, magazine, printed matter however reproduced, or sound recording which contains any matter enumerated in paragraph (a) of this subsection (1), or explicit and detailed verbal descriptions or narrative accounts of sexual excitement, sexual conduct, or sadomasochistic abuse and which, taken as a whole, is harmful to children. While our library may not be loaning the material for "monetary consideration," our library should recognize that our Colorado law deems this type of material harmful to children. Please remove books that contain sexually explicit material from the PRA library.

Even Amazon has the book Gender Queer listed for ages 18+. This is not a sexual education guide, it is written by a professional cartoonist. Not an educator, and they are not trained in child/adolescent development.

When I signed my kids up for this school, I didn’t realize it was on west Colfax Ave!!!

Shameful that this book is available in a school library.

After viewing some of the material content, this is a no brainer. Please remove these explicit materials from the library. Thank you.

This is pornography targeting underage children. I think the police need to be involved. I hold the leadership at Prospect Ridge Responsible for targeting innocent children with their indoctrination. Who reviews these books? Whomever allowed these books to be accessible to children needs to be removed from their position of trust, and they should register as a sex offender. I am a fed up parent.

Please remove said material from PRA school libraries

This book should not be in a school library. If a kid wants to buy it on Amazon go for it.
