Technicians shouldn't be getting cut times because they are getting familiar with the job. This fact is why we are able to make money in our industry. It is not our fault that Hyundai is not developing quality engines or even the fact that customers are not taking care of the engines in there vehicles. This also might have something to do with Hyundai coming out to say their vehicles can go 7k+ miles on a single oil change.

Love that the labor times were fine for a few years, but now suddenly they are paying bus to much.

Have worked for Hyundai for 21 years. Have not witnessed such an unfair treatment of employees. If anything the labor should go up. Hma keeps adding to the service procedure and the vehicles are only getting older with more aftermarket parts and corrosion to deal with.

Labor time should go up the more the cars age, rust, corrosion, aftermarket parts should all be factored in. We already have to meet warranty times longer than all other brands having a 10yr 100k. They reap the benefits for our lost income.

The times are very unfair to the experienced technician can’t even make a days pay off an engine replacement.. it’s like slavery at this point.

They built the bad engines of course they want to pay as little as possible to replace them but it’s not the techs fault now is it?

We just want what's fair. I don't care if a few guys brag that they can do it in an hour or two. It takes time to do it right, period.
