IMPHO, a lot of efforts has been put in place to implement it, event was executed well and inter-country relationships and support was good.

Let us move as one strong Philippine paragliding community. I join this request to reinstate PGAWC Leg 1 FAI santion.

I helped on the ground to organize this competition, launch master at the take off . There was a high level of input from both competitors and organizers in terms of enthusiasm, safety and professionalism. The competition was successfully completed in spite of non typical and non ideal weather conditions. It was extremely disappointing to see the official sanction for this competition to be granted and then withdrawn when the competition was already underway . The real reasons for withdrawing sanction were not made clear. The way in which this was handled and the timing reflects baldy on FAI. I join this petition and request that the official sanction be reinstated for the benefit of the international competitors. They are being penalized through no fault of their own.

Philippines NAC, please reinstate the PGAWC sanction for the sake of aviation sports in particular Paragliding in our region where we are starting to grow.

With so much effort put into this project by paragliding pilots, local government agencies and media groups, so many international pilots were disappointed.

This was my first participation in an international event I was looking forward to become FAI sanctioned competition pilot, however, on the second day of comp we were told that the local NAC withdrew the FAI sanction. Although the president of the local federation gave a long speech making all sort of excuses which non of us could make sense of it. The good thing about the event it was nicely organised. The security level was unprecedented, the local government provided lot of support and of course meeting all those international pilots was pleasure and fun. The organizer of the event is a close friend and a well know paragliding figure in South East Asia. I wish the FAI can do something about it and give us a solid explanation of exactly what happen.
