To Spokane County School Superintendents, School Board Members, Dr. Bob Lutz and the Spokane Regional Health District Board:

We, the undersigned, believe that education is essential for the growth, health, and advancement of the youth of Spokane. With only a virtual option provided, too many parents are being faced with an impossible situation, choose between either educating their children or continuing to work to provide for their families. Regardless of socio or economic positions, every parent deserves educational options for their children, both online AND in person. It is the responsibility of our educational and civic leaders to provide creative options for how every student in Spokane can have access to quality, effective, engaging education.

We are inviting teachers, educators, parents, and any other community members that care about the children of our city to join us in advocating for a safe in-person option in our Spokane County school districts this fall.
