سرزمین ما ایران نیز به همراه آبهای شمالی آن، دریای کاسپی، و آبهای جنوبی آن، شاخاب پارس، بی گمان از کهن ترین بخشهای روی کره زمین میباشد.
امروز دشمنان وجودی این آب و خاک کهن که حتی با کشتار و نسل کشی نتوانستند هویت راستین ما را از میان ببرند، در پی آنند که با خرج کردن پولهای هنگفت حتی تاریخ را جعل کرده و نامهای تاریخی را به دلخواه خود تغییر دهند و بعضا دیده میشود که از نامهایی جعلی برای نام راستین شاخاب پارس در گفتار و نوشتارشان استفاده میکنند.
جای بسی شرم و ننگ است که رسانه ها و سایتهای غربی که ادعای دموکراسی و بی طرفی دارند، با دریافت مبلغی پول چشم خود را بر روی چنین تحریفات تاریخی میبندند و از واژگان جعلی استفاده مینمایند.
شوربختانه شرکت امریکایی گوگل یکی از شرکتهایی است که در نقشه و مترجم خود نامهای جغرافیایی را تحریف کرده و از نامهایی جعلی بجای نام راستین شاخاب پارس استفاده مینماید! همچنین این شرکت برای استفاده از این نامهای نادرست در سایت خود نظر سنجی براه انداخته که این کار غیر قانونی بوده و از سوی ملت ایران به رسمیت شناخته نمیشود.
ما این عمل شرکت گوگل را محکوم کرده و از این شرکت خواستاریم تا هر چه سریعتر این موارد را اصلاح کرده و از نام راستین شاخاب پارس در همه بخشهای وب سایتش بهره جوید.
Undoubtedly each and every piece of the lands and waters on the planet earth has a name which is derived from it's history.
Our country, Iran, together with it's northern waters, Caspian sea, and it's southern waters, Persian Gulf, is one of the most ancient parts of the earth.
Today our historical enemies, who could not defeat us by invasion and genocide, are trying to distort the history by spending their money, and they are using the fake names for the true name of the Persian Gulf.
It's shamefull that the west world's media, which claim to be democratic and objective, ignore this illegal distortion and use these fake names!
Unfortunately the US company, Google, is one of them who is distorting the registered geographical names and it is using fake names for Persian Gulf in it's map and translator! This company has also done an election on it's website to decide if they can use these fake names. This election is illegal and is not recognized by Iranian nation.
We as a human being condemn this action and demand google to correct this mistake and use the real name of the Persian Gulf in all parts of it's wesite.

I just saw the number hit five hundred and honestly my coffee went cold because I was staring at the screen for so long. It feels so surreal that this many people care about the historical integrity of our maps and the name of our waters even when some corporations want to pretend history is just a suggestion. I am just genuinely overwhelmed by how quickly this grew.

The body of water separating Iran and the Arabian peninsula is, has always been, and will forever be called by no other name than the PERSIAN GULF. I highly recommend Google let historical facts guide its translation decisions, rather than Wahabi petrodollars!!
get money from Arabic countries to change a real correct old name of a place in the world on your map is not a good way to make money. you are standing against truth and making mess and involving in a political issues.
It was, is and should always be persian gulf not arabic gulf. If we can not trust google on such simple issues then how can we trust google on things we have no idea about.
I would strongly criticize the abhorrent act of google for altering the name of Persian Gulf, and I would seek legal action against google and any of erectors behind this action.
All I can say with respect to this matter is: shame on people who sell their Conscience and soul to a few dollars. Stop stealing our identity. This gulf has always been and always will be the "PERSIAN GULF".
