Massive development at 6800 and 6801 River Place Blvd (2222/River Place Blvd)
Karlin Real Estate is claiming they are R&D zoned in order to get 1984 City ordinances, but they are not only marketing to R&D renters or building to 3M R&D standards.
By sighing the petition, you are supporting our request to rezone to an accurate multi use category and current code, which will require a traffic impact study and traffic mitigation, current code on environment laws, and current code on land development with some protections for neighbors.

This area is already plagued with traffic problems, and Leander ISD struggles to bus students to the campuses in the area, at least three of which (River Place Elementary, Four Points Middle School, and Vandegrift High School) would experience a tremendously adverse impact on accessibility if this project is allowed to continue under 1984 agreements. The Four Points area has boomed in the last twenty years, with huge growth in residential and commercial development, and the proposed project is not suitable to the current conditions. The Domsin-style mixed use development would adversely affect quality of life, traffic, and likely property values in the area.
