Petition to Ohio Bishops to Restore Access to the Sacraments

I'd like to add, I do not really think drive through confessions or outdoor mass is necessary, nor do i want them. I want regular activity. We are allowed to wait in lines at restaurants and grocery stores- why not confession lines? We are allowed to sit in busses and trains. Why not pews?

We almost certainly could go further and have Holy Mass celebrated inside Churches right now. First, keep the dispensation in place. People who are genuinely afraid should stay home for now. Continue to discourage anyone sick or with compromised immunity from attending. Limit attendance and space people adequately to prevent the spread of the virus. Shorten the Masses so as to reduce the amount of time the faithful are in any proximity to each other indoors and to reduce the chance of people leaving an earlier Mass running into people attending the next one. Skipping the handshaking and hugging pandemonium during the Sign of the Peace is a great idea that could be made permanent. Also, a recent and thorough study in Germany concluded that the virus does not spread through contact with surfaces, so there does not appear to be much risk of anyone catching it by touching door handles, benches, etc. Above all, we need to overcome this inordinate fear that is paralyzing all of us.

This is positively possible with the cooperation of all parishioners. Our souls are thirsty for Christ and His Eucharist. We beg you to consider opening back our Church, people longing for.

We hope the bishops tend to their flock and not our corrupt goverment

Your actions have essentially stated that the Catholic Church is not essential. Please act to correct this as soon as possible!!

The Eucharist is the Oxygen of the Church Militant. Without it, she will suffocate.

We are all longing for Christ!!

Please restore all normal attendance at Masses of our choice. Making appointments to go to Mass is absolutely against our human right to worship when, where and how we choose to do so thus violates our freedom of religion which is protected under God's law and under the American and Ohio Constitution.

Please resume regular masses IN THE church, those who do not feel comfortable do not have to attend and can continue to watch via livestream.

It’s a problem when our church is more concerned about our physical health than our spiritual health. Open our churches!

This is more important than risk of illness. The sick can be dispensed, and we can take precautions around them. We can distance ourselves in the church and the priest can dip his fingers in alcohol between each communicant. There's really no excuse. St. Aloysius and St. Damien, pray for us!

These suggestions are creative and respectful of social distancing procedures. In the spirit of St. Charles Borromeo, we need holy passion from our bishops to promote these suggestions and allow the Church to serve its crucial function at this time.

Please be courageous.

Please allow us to receive the sacraments again!

Zoom confession? Access to perpetual adoration in church. Would be easy for social distancing.

Please tend to your flock, dear shepherds. Resume our masses and Sacraments fully as possible. Spiritual nourishment is more important than anything else. Jesus is always yearning for souls. Why do you keep us waiting when all essential businesses in Ohio are open and more next week? Be mindful that you are all accountable to God for the many souls you guide a as nd lead to His kingdom.

Please let me serve at mass again. I have seen priests in Oklahoma have a full drive-in mass. Why can’t we under same guidelines to safely guard the congregation. But please make it soon, many souls are at stake.

Please restore Mass and Sacraments. Our Diocese having public Masses starting May 11. Why not Ohio!
