These signs are obnoxious and unnecessary. In view areas, even worse. Streets in the neighborhood were never an issue. This program has very little positive impact and lots of negative. Please do the right thing and remove the signs.

A ticketed car is still not swept under. This optimized program does almost nothing to improve the environment, but it defaces our neighborhoods and disrupts our lives. Our streets were already some of the cleanest in California before this program was in place.

Overwhelming evidence from a handful of dedicated citizens has proven that Torrance officials attempted to mislead us. This program is not required, has little positive impact on the environment, but exists solely to put money in City Hall's pocket. Another shameful abuse of power.

The street sweeping is further deteriorating the streets in my neighbor in old Torrance.

Mandated street sweeping was recently implemented for both sides of 220th Street between Cabrillo Ave and Arlington Ave. The mandate has done very little benefit in maintaining a clean, well-groomed street. In fact, street sweeping has caused further deterioration of an already damaged and poorly maintained road segment. The sweeper's rotating brushes breaks up the already-cracked pavement, leaves a swath of asphalt fines in its wake, and contributes very little value to City taxpayers but to produce parking problems for local residents and revenue stream for City politicians to spend how It deems appropriate. There is no quality of life improvement for City residents.

My hubs got 2 tickets in the same day, in the same spot, with the same car - 1 hour apart. He had to take time off work to go fight it. So theoretically they can ticket the same car several times in the same day? Seems cray cray to me. Considering a trash truck dumped a ton of oil on our street and they still have not cleaned it up after several months, it does not seem the agenda is to have clean streets. Get rid of the fines, its obviously a revenue stream for the city. It's bad enough our vehicle registration is going up thanks to Sacramento, this is just more financial burden on the middle class citizens of Torrance. We are not Los Angeles and we should not behave like them. I would love to have an accounting of how much revenue they have made and where it was spent. Do you think it was spent taking care of our street and roads? I highly doubt it.

The parking control officer don't even follow the sweeper. They run out to the streets that are to be swept at exactly the first minute of time stated on the sign and then yhe sweeper comes by 3 hours later. I got a ticket just gor that. My street is 11:00 to 2:00pm. I got a ticket at 11:05 and the sweeper came by at 1:45. I can undygetting a ticket if I was still parked and blocked the cleaning. TPD parking enforcement told me to bad when I called and disputed the ticket.
