Ohio's Future Foundation is taking the lead in Ohio to call for the repeal of common core in the State of Ohio. Payola to Schools for Test Scores, Bad Education Practices and theories, and an overall terrible education culture is damaging Ohio's Students and Teachers and has lead to Students being not prepared for the workforce and business world.
We call for State Legislators and our Governor to either introduce legislation to FULLY REPEAL Common Core Practices and return educational guidelines and curriculum to the local school districts OR Governor DeWine can do this with an executive Order as was done in Florida by Governor DeSantis. Either path is acceptable. Common Core Standards are no longer acceptable.

Common core does nothing but remove the ability for the teachers to teach and my children to learn without feeling stupid even when they get the right answer. The right answer is the right answer no matter how you get to the answer. Stop it. What this government has done has allowed our children to be dumbed down to the point where educated parents cannot help with school work! For God's sake, why does this government hate our children?
Please stop this horrible Federal takeover of the State’s right to manage our education system.
Local districts should be free to go with what works best for their students, not what a few at the top who claim to know what is best for all
We need to abolish this and return control to schools locally. But that means the parents need to do their research and A. Elect good neighbors to run for school board and NEVER ALLOW former teachers or admins run. Or anyone else who has family working for the system. And B. Improve upon whatever the state lacks such as cursive writing, Latin classes and up to date vocational programs.
As a father 4 school age children. Common Core is nothing more than dumbing down of American children.
Really not understanding why we changed to new method.
Please take rhis common core out of our schools. It does more damage then anything

I am so sick of this common core b.s. I am far from stupid and I feel helpless while trying to help my child do homework. There is no rhyme or reason to what is being taught, to be honest it is unrealistic and a waste. I learned the old fashioned way and have gotten by just fine. This way of teaching has added unnecessary stress to not only my childs life but mine.
