We are totally against a data center in Granite City, IL
It is so close to where we live, it will destroy our property values. They are already doing the solar power less than a mile from our home. We tried to vote it down and our cries for not allowing it was overruled.

I oppose the data center in my home town. Our utilities are already very expensive, we don’t need the noise pollution and I do not
not want our property values to go down.

The local government, just like all government bodies lie to you. They do not care what you want or what will benefit the average Joe. They only care what their bank account looks like and what social status it brings them. NO DATA CENTER.

I do not want this anywhere near Green city or my home. This will bring my property volume down and I don’t appreciate anyone putting something in our area that will do that

I am deeply concerned about the environmental footprint of this project. Data centers are incredibly resource-intensive, often demanding massive amounts of water for cooling and stressing our local electrical grid. Allowing this facility would be counterproductive to our community’s commitment to sustainable resource management and could threaten the water security of residents. The tax incentives being discussed for this project appear to heavily favor large corporations, while residents risk bearing the costs of infrastructure upgrades, grid strain, and higher utility bills. I encourage the board to seek development that offers a better return on investment and more permanent, high-quality jobs for our local workforce.

The data center is going to make it even harder for people to live here. We are supposed to be growing our town, but this will have people looking to move to a place they can afford to live. People in this city already struggle to pay their expensive sewer/water bill already.
