No to public basketball courts inside Durham Park

We are also against it and concern on the safety of our children and neighborhood.

We expect the president of our hoa and others who voted for this, to wake up every morning at 6am to pick up the beer cans, cigarette buds and other trash left on the park from the night before. There's already neighbors that wake up early to try help out with all the litter . Our trash problems will now get worse.

Please vote no.

For security reasons. We do not want the basketball court.

We are strongly against the addition of a basketball and volleyball court in our community park.

Why didn’t they mail this information out or knock on our doors to inform us about a vote? They know damn well everyone doesn't go online or on facebook for neighborhood info. I’m voting the board members out next month. This was the stupidest decision ever made. We have the most unethical and untrustworthy board members ever. Thanks for destroying our park.

So they have time to drop off papers to our houses/ mailboxes saying the things that are wrong with our property but they didn't have time to hand out some damn papers to ask us to vote on this? We got screwed big time. Our votes were robbed.

I have never supported this idea. A basketball court is just a magnet for crime, drugs, and illegal activity. They were when I was a kid and they haven't changed. Whether it's the HOA or the MUD paying for it, it's OUR money. The fact that there is such a surplus to finance these ideas shows we are being charged way too much.

It would be nice to know that we are represented by a board who listens to us and supports our decisions.

I'm sure they're gonna say there was a vote on this. But what they did is, not tell a lot of people about it and voted on it fast to get it approved. This is a very old and deceitful voting technique. If I knew about this I would've voted no. Shame on them. Abuse of power.

I'm sure it was a board member that has kids and wanted a basketball court built just for them. Meanwhile, they didn't care what the rest of the neighborhood had to say and snuck the vote in quickly. VERY INCONSIDERATE and SELFISH! Way to look out for your neighbors.

I don't agree with the BB court being build behind my house

I'm seriously thinking about moving out. This is used to be a nice,quiet family park for our children to play in. Now it's turning into a loud, public park for hoodlums to roam in. There's already people that park their cars on the side streets of the park and drink and smoke weed all night. They throw their beer cans and trash on the grass when they leave.This will only get worse. I'm voting next month.
