Great job Senator Murphy providing the facts at the October 21st, forum at the Metropolis ballroom, and championing the effort to vote against this bill! You are doing exactly what we need; making citizens aware of what the Chicago and downstate legislators are trying to do, how devastating it would be to us and then taking a strong position against it. I support equitable access to quality education but not by shifting scarce resources. Illinois should re-evaluate it's funding mechanisms and target high cost budget items, such as Pension Reform. We should not be 50th out of 50 for state funding of education. Let's strive to be top 10!
