Sportsnet (along with CBC) have announced the broadcast teams that will be calling their playoff series. Unfortunately for Habs fans, Paul Romanuk and Garry Galley have gotten the nod for the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers series. Now, Paul Romanuk isn't fantastic; he is a little too over the top (yelling "LARCENY" when a save is made). Romanuk is somebody we can live with. The real problem here is Garry Galley.

Galley was born in Greenfield Park but was raised in Ottawa. He covered the Senators in the late 90s and early 2000s when they used to be exclusively on Sportsnet. Throughout the last 5 years, Galley has irritated Habs fans. He seems to go on an anti-Habs tirade every time he calls a game.

Jack Todd from the Montreal Gazette has noticed Galley's anti-Habs broadcasting and has written about it in his column. Galley played with the Bruins, therefore, calling the Boston-Ottawa series would make perfect sense. We have waited 2 years to see our Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and don't want to get irritated during the game with Galley's cheap shots. We ask that you please sign this petition to get Greg Millen to call this series along Paul Romanuk.
