Placing a facility like this in a residential area is ridiculous. Allowing it to happen without full disclosure is putting everyone at risk and the welfare of the community should come first.

Battery storage facilities don’t belong on Long Island. We already know how quickly they start fires and how quickly they can destroy personal property. There is not enough evidence to support this facility being erected by my home.

Close to the gas/oil hub, homes, school and businesses. The fire departments are not equipped to handle an ‘emergency in the event something happens. Please rethink the storage facility and it’s location.

This plant was rejected by the town of Islip and should not be approved in the town of Brookhaven. The safety and well being of our community, residents, and children should be the number one priority and this plant jeopardizes our safety.

This is totally ridiculous - The danger this plan will create is above irresponsibility on the part of the Town of Brookhaven. I can't believe the people on the town board think this is OK!

The batteries for EVs have started on fire to often. If a fire starts at the facility it would cause extreme chemical and air pollution to the the area.

The extraction methods for lithium and cobalt can be very energy intensive – leading to air and water pollution, land degradation, and potential for groundwater contamination.
