What evacuation process will be in place for toxic deadly gases comig from the lithium batteries burning? Exposure can have long term health consequences... Ask them what insurance coverage if the smoke overwhelms the school and the kids/staff cannot be evacuated in time and if the school isn't air-tight, sheltering in place doesn't work and every one dies? FYI, "Lithium- ion fires release an array of deadly toxins including Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Cyanide, Hydrogen Fluoride and Cobalt. These toxins are especially dangerous to firefighters because they are dermally absorbed through the skin and no personal protective clothing can protect you against it.” -- Greg McConville, United Firefighters Union (UFUA) National Secretary HAZMAT suits can't protect firefigters from the deadly cocktail of toxins that get released from lithium battery fires. They won't be able to rescue the kids if the gases/smoke is too thick....

Move the site somewhere else, it’s too close to my house and the school my child attends.

This can not happen so close to residential areas! Does anyone remember the nightmare of the contamination at the Hauppauge landfill! Stop this now!

Understandably, as we move away from fossil fuels and buy into electric vehicles there will be a need for battery disposal.
These facilities need to be vetted prior to opening and should not be in any residential areas. These facilities should be in commercial/industrial zones.

Population alone much less closeness to the most major highway on Long Island should be reason enough to say NO
