I'm spending more time (3x) using this whiteboard. I agree that those testing in a center should be allowed to use a scratch paper. As if these exams were not stressful enough. Please reconsider, NCARB.

I understand wanting consistency, but be realistic. This does not make the test equal. Online proctor exams can have stylus to use which will not be offered in the testing centers. I have asked for accommodations that have been denied. I am left handed, but use a mouse with my right hand. I can not draw on a digital board with my right hand. I was also denied the use of a stylus in testing centers.

Eliminating scratch paper is inconsistent with the visual/tactile skill sets on which architects rely in practice. The digital whiteboard itself is cumbersomely designed, even for those that are experienced with such technology.
If a "clean desk" is actually a priority, there's no need for that theory to be at odds with a fluid testing experience - one option could be to provide whiteboards that can be wiped down, perhaps funded by the testing fees scalped from thousands of candidates.

This is a completely unfair change, there is no reason to take away scratch paper. Even if the test was virtual you can examine the limited # of sheets prior to the exam. Its prohibitive to the test takers success.

On my last exam, I barely used the whiteboard, but when scratch paper was available, I used it throughout the exam and it was very helpful.

Please allow scratch paper in the physical exam. The whiteboard is extremely inefficient, and does not allow one to practice smart testing. The keyboard on my last exam was in a different language, so I couldn't even use my keyboard accurately on the exam. Please give us paper back!!!!
