The Zoning Review Board finally denied the Mixx permit application because they could not ignore our constant pressure. Mixx has kept this neighborhood awake for far too long and this victory forces them to stop their expansion plans. We won this round but we are keeping a close watch on …

Re: Special Use Permit Application U-15-001/1492 Piedmont Rd.

Date: 2/1/15

We, the undersigned, residents of the Ansley Park neighborhood City of Atlanta, respectfully but strongly urge the Zoning Review Board to DENY the Special Use Permit Application U-15-001.

The late night noise disturbances caused by the Applicant (Mixx) have plagued Ansley Park residents for many years and expansion of their outdoor entertainment spaces will substantially increase that problem. The Applicant has proposed no enforceable measures to contain or buffer the late night noise. They have not met the standards of “protecting the public interest” as required by City Zoning Ordinance 16-25.002.

The sheer number of people joining this fight proves that Mixx cannot continue to treat our neighborhood like their private party zone. We have hit a critical point where the Zoning Review Board can no longer pretend we are invisible. Keep the pressure on these bureaucrats until they do the right thing and shut this expansion down.

The traffic and loud music is bad enough at the current capacity. We dont need more of this right by our homes.

The noise is already too much on weeknights. My bedroom window faces that way and I am tired of waking up at 2am.

Fix the current noise problems before even thinking about expanding. Its common sense.

NO WAY. This place is already a nightmare for the neighborhood. Adding more space for noise is a terrible idea.

I would think that owners of Pets Are People Too would be concerned about the noise hurting their business. As a pet owner I would never board or leave my pet overnight there.
