The Eastlink rural internet is barely faster than dial-up. We need true broadband!

This is so needed. As a family of young professionals living on millet lake, access to fast and reliable internet is essential.

Small business is vital to rural Nova Scotia and depends on high speed connection to the world. We are missing opportunity to grow and continue operating our small businesses. Covid 19 isolation has increased the urgency in needing high speed internet, not only for small business but for children trying to finish their school year at home and others forced to work at home.

I run a small business Sunspace Sunrooms and do most pricing by email after work. Trying to receive and send PDF files and pictures to customers is way to slow.

I am known as The Marriage Coach and was just recently asked to speak at an online summit with 10K viewers and I lost the opportunity because my internet was not strong enough. Since moving to Millet Lake my business has been impacted very negatively due to the terrible internet service. I cannot livestream daily anymore because it pixelates. We really need this.

I am required to work from home. As someone with a compromised immune system, I expect this to continue even as we start to “open” the province. I currently pay for internet and cable AND I’m paying for a hotspot for my Skype meetings. We should not be penalized because we live in rural NS.
