I first met Pat Marchese when I started working at Clark County in 1993. I have the utmost respect and admiration for her. Naming a school after Pat and her husband would be such an honor for them.

Pat and Lamar were part of Las Vegas during its period of tremendous growth. Their sacrifice and vision ensured Las Vegas would evolve into the great city it is today. We all reap the benifits of their legacy.

Pat Marchese established both the Cultural Affairs Division of the City of Las Vegas and the Clark County Cultural Division. She converted an old Mormon stake into Reed Whipple Cultural Center. She converted Winchester Community Center into Winchester Cultural Center, still Clark County's only indoor theater.
