I lived in Las Vegas and directed the Lied Discovery Childten's Museum for 14 years. Pat and Lamar have contributed enormously to the education of children and families in numerous and extraordinary ways.

Their long time commitment is cause for us to name a school after them.

I wholeheartedly support a school being named after Lamar & Pat Marchese. Two special people who helped build the foundation for education & culture to improve the lives of families in the Las Vegas valley.

There is no one more appropriate in Las Vegas, Nevada, to receive the recognition of having an elementary school named after them. There are no two people that have done more to bring forward the quality of life that anyone living in the Las Vegas environs appreciates and enjoys. Because of the creativity, vision and dedicated life work of Pat and Lamar Marchese Las Vegas is a better place. The quality of life these two manifested for all is a gift of the highest. Naming this school after them is an honor they will truly treasure. It is a way Las Vegas can give just a little back to Pat and Lamar and their family for the love they have given to the city throughout their lives.

Patricia and Lamar Marchese embody the very essence of what a school namesake should be. They have developed/supported programs that have enhanced the cultural experience of Clark County for all residents and especially children. Students attending a school bearing their names will truly have a school named for positive role models they will be proud of and can strive to emulate.

Pat and Lamar Marchese are more than deserving of having a school named after them. I hope they are honored as a way of recognizing all they have selflessly done for our community.
