The country does not wish to be represented by someone who was obviously very close to a child trafficker and who. judging by his fawning birthday text, was well aware of Epstein's repulsive exploitation

The fact that he stayed at JE’s NY abode when JE was convicted and serving a sentence speaks volumes. This was reported in the Financial Times June 2023.
