Dear Communities

For those who don’t know me, my name is Marco (like Polo). I am an experiential event designer, creative, musician and free thinker with a passion for the unconventional, living in Muizenberg I have an idea that I would like to share with you.

Together as a community we have the power to create a family, lifestyle and music festival in Muizenberg offering a multicultural experience for everybody in Cape Town and enrich this beautiful place we all live in and cherish, for the benefit of all residents and visitors.

I sincerely believe that our community networks have the potential to entertain, educate, engage and deliver an affordable and accessible weekend holiday experience for everyone, creating an uplifting effect, with numerous financial spin-offs, and increased exposure for Muizenberg, its economy and surrounding neighborhoods.

We can achieve this by collectively funding the festival as a community and support/endorse Muizenberg Unity Jam 2019 for our City of Cape Town event license and support the application which is due by the 31st of July 2019.

Early bird Tickets are available now! Ask friends to buy or donate tickets, send us your support letters, sign the petition and encourage others to do the same. Together we can create something really special!

Our goal and what we need to achieve in order to bring this festival to life is a mere 2000 tickets* at R150 each. We can easily self-fund this even by each leveraging on our own social networks, the benefit of which is that the Community Tickets, which are at a reduced price, give you full access for the duration of the 2 day festival and all of its events.

The funds raised will be used to cover all essential Health and Safety requirements, Marketing & PR costs,

overheads and essential infrastructure.

Achieving this will put us in a unique strategic position of being financially independent as a festival. This makes a strong case for the City of Cape Town to support the event, dictate sponsorship terms and to create a unique offering with minimal financial risk whilst benefiting from a consolidated community driven Marketing & PR effort. One for all and all for one!

Looking forward to your support and enthusiasm,

Marco Wielander & Trenton Birch (Trenton & Free Radical)
