I am totally against the new amphitheater. Brookhaven residents never expressed interest in this project especially local MCP residents. One of the main reasons we moved to this neighborhood was because of the beautiful, natural, serene park that my family, and our neighbors, enjoy on a daily basis. We do not want to see trees taken down, animals displaced, the peace and views of nature disrupted, or car traffic where we walk and our children play. In addition, this is a total duplication of the recently “built” county corner park in MCP. We do not need a need an “amphitheater” nor do we want any more concrete and structures in the park. This is a total waste of Brookhaven funds. Do more to preserve this area, not try to change or destroy it. Your destruction cannot be undone. Please stop this project and find another park or place to spend this money. We do not want this. We are your constituents. Please listen.

MC Park has been my, my childrens and grandchildrens friend for 50 years....please don't ruin it with unnecessary noise to wildlife and near by residents for your own political agenda or gains. This is absurd. Leave well enough alone. Do you have no regard for the neighbors living across from the proposed amphitheater??.. If not, now dare you to be so selfish and unAmerican!! Please stop this nonsense. You already have one on the corner of Ashentree...you need another. Absurd!! Parking.....would be totlly another issue which has not been brought up yet....sneak in one and deal with the other later. So Brookhaven!! I am so disappointed in Brookhaven....just wait until it's elections time again!! :-)
