Allow The Lawrenceville School to Start Club America, a Turning Point USA High School Chapter
Since starting at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, many of the teachers have pushed liberal agendas in the classroom against many of our conservative beliefs. Last spring, we started the process to launch a Turning Point USA chapter, Club America, but we have since faced obstacles amid a shifting political climate and Charlie Kirk's tragic murder.
This year, the school has decided to ban the club while continuing to promote one-sided liberal views - contradicting Lawrenceville’s Harkness Learning principle of “active listening, forming opinions, and valuing multiple perspectives”.
Turning Point USA promotes fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government, giving conservative students a platform for dialogue. Denying Club America stifles balanced debate.
For conservative students, this is about speaking freely without fear of judgment, mockery, isolation, or unfair grading from teachers. Right-leaning views are often dismissed or stigmatized, creating exclusion that undermines intellectual freedom.
And Charlie Kirk was not a racist or homophobic which the liberal media is making him out to be. He was, and is, a hero for the silent conservative students in America.
Allowing Club America would honor diversity of thought, empower marginalized voices, and foster respectful debate across viewpoints.
We urge Lawrenceville to reverse its decision and embrace ideological diversity. A Club America chapter will ensure all voices are heard, enriching the educational environment.
