I think this is an excellent cause, and although I do not live in the U.S and this wouldn't directly affect me I have a feeling this would benefit me as well as all the people in the U.S whom wish to own a balisong. Great cause, worth signing up for!

Butterfly knifes are no less dangerous then flip knifes but those are legal and faster to get out. So why have the butterfly knifes illegal that should be legalized

Butterfly knifes are used as a hobby more than a weapon every case.

To me. A blisong is a huge part of my life. And not being allowed to take it places because its illegal really sucks.

Literally no reason as to why these are illegal. Simply ignorant politicians and ignorant voters.

I would really like to get into this hobby because it is a beautiful artform, and I hope that it becomes more widespread with legalization.

Balisongs (butterfly knives) should be legal in all states because it's a fun way to spend time, it helps precise your fingers, and you can watch yourself grow. Some people say it's a weapon but that's incorrect. "Oh but it's a knife" they say, they are utility tools (and that's folders too) knives are just used for the wrong reasons. If you ban balisongs, ban cars. They were made for transportation, but can be used to kill someone.

The illegalization of the butterfly knife is an outdated and unnecessary restriction to those that live in states that have said restrictions

If flip knives are legal, how can a balisong not be?? They can't be any more dangerous, they take longer to open and are more obvious than a flip knife would be.

many people use balisongs as a form of entertainment in the same way other people use poi, devil sticks, and even contact juggling. it is used as a flow art and can be very fun, interesting, and technical. if you are worried about them being used violently, I can assure you I would grab and one of my 6-10" Henckels to defend myself before my Bradley.

Balisongs are a recreational activity for many people and are not practical at all for a weapon a kitchen knife is more deadly than a balisong

The balisong is no more dangerous than any other knife. I strongly believe that they should be legal in all areas.
