The opportunity to have a Laguna Niguel Cultural Center should not lost. Have the members of the OC Board of Supervisors truly done their due diligence in asking what the community needs? The LNCC versus the current reality of overflowing multi-unit housing complexes. Streets such as Highland, Pacific Island Drive and Niguel have turned into a parking lot with cars overflowing from multi-unit homes and apartments. The proposed plan to add 200 Condos into an already saturated area has not been well thought out. Many years ago the Planning Departments would have reviewed proposals for the current properties now contributing to this car parking overflow situation. Will they make the same mistake again and approve what they feel is “adequate” parking spaces within this new 200 unit Condo complex or will they mess it up again? The city of Laguna Niguel needs balance for the long term as a wonderful area to grow and raise our families. The LNCC would add this culture outlet not currently available. The city has and is currently doing it part for muliti-unit housing, which is evident based on the current construction taking place at Crown Valley and Cabot with the building of the new 248 unit Mill Creek Apartment complex. We need to go in another direction and take this opportunity to add the LNCC to our community for the long term.
