Rockville High School is named such as being in Rockville, our County Seat. The High School will most likely remain in Rockville, but if not, Rockville is still the name of the County Seat of Parke County so the school name should follow...... And with 140 years of history, it would be a shame to drop that name.

I say leave it! It seems kinda stupid huh we are arguing over the name but not if you,your kids,grandkids,etc... Have went there or go there and you have memories and trying to share them with others!!! Let it stay ~Rockville~

By keeping the name we would benefit all those who have graduated and left their footprint while at the same time inviting new students to join the family. Bring your thoughts and learn with us. Bring your mascots to hang in the gym, football field. But most of all in the entrance of the school joining us as one.

Rockville highschool has been here for over 100 year. One of the oldest in the state. When other schools come to play us they won't know where the timber wolfs are or what ever our name will be. They have to combine with us so they should have to take our name with pride !

Rockville has had its name for over a 100 years. Why would you change tradition? It'd be like changing the whole towns name aka absolutely ridiculous & unnecessary! #Roxpriderollon

I don't go to this school but I honestly do not think you should change its name because it is connected to another school. It should stay Rockville high school and turkey run should stay the same to

They r merging with us do to their financial condition. We r an original member of the ishaa. They came along later. ROCKVILLE. They came into Rockville to celebrate their softball state championship. That's all u need to know!!!!

Just curious, but if rockville students had to go to Turkey Run how many of you Rockville Rox supporters would want to keep the name Turkey Run Warriors and do your best to ensure that it happened??

If economics of a change don't change the minds of the would be decision makers, then we are doomed to failure! The Rox have been around for more than a century! How long does it take to be old enough to hold some history? I believe if we consolidate we should both keep our names! It's both cost effective and RIGHT! If you are in middle school you're a TURKEY RUN WARRIOR!, if you in high school you're a ROCKVILLE ROX! Following that logic the cost of change is lower, we can both keep our uniforms and signage! And the ROX keep the oldest heritage in the county!
I've been trying to establish common ground for a while with the POST 48 Legion Baseball program for a couple years now. I can honestly say as a coach, I LOVE both schools, they both have great young men and women that just want to participate!

I highly doubt that, if the combined high schools were to end up being in the Turkey Run building, that the Turkey Run folks would want to name the combined school Rockville High School. That probably would not make much sense.
However, if the school ends up being in Rockville building, then the name should be Rockville High School, and the team name should be the Rockville Rox! Everyone will welcome the Turkey Run classmates.
