King Edwards has always been a relatively open and more relaxed environment compared to other schools and it had thrived as a result. These new policies targeted at stopping "defiance" and giving isolation for minor incidents are completely out of proportion and resemble a dictatorship or a prison.

Keep school happy. It's to learn and excel, not an alternative to a prison. Why so many rules and regulations. It will not help our mental wellbeing or education. Focus on how unorganised some staff and departments are before you go punishing students for forgetting to bring in a pointless planner which is a waste of paper (however we are forced to make sure we are bettering the environment but not over using resources) the planners will be gone within 2 months maximum because it will be far to unorganised just like when we had them in lower school, 2012 onward, the we couldn't fund them anymore. POINTLESS!

As a parent with a child on the autism spectrum I am very concerned that the isolation punishment is disproportionate and unsuitable for some children.

Taught at KES for 16 years and was a parent governor at the School. Consultation is vital if the changes are to have the desired results. As many as possible need to identify with the new ethos.

I am under the belief that this new "Consistent Conduct" policy is ridiculous and from what I have heard was intended for the lower school. My question is, if this is the case, why inflict this over the top and unfair policy on us? It's making school feel more and more like a prison.
