You can't keep adding new homes, increased population and have community growth without improving, increasing and growing the school system. There hasn't been any additional school buildings in years. Many of the buildings haven't been maintained. Not sure where the tax dollars have been going for years.

North Jackson is one of most affluent areas, for jackson to grow and be appealing to new businesses and young professionals there needs to be a viable public school option.

Hello, I have 2 children that attend Pope elementary. My oldest will be in 7th grade next year and will have to go to northeast middle school approximately 25 mins from our house for 2 years and then transition schools AGAIN for high school. The multiple transitions is not beneficial for our children’s learning and could be solved with a new k-8 school for this area. Please vote to approve a k-8 school as was previously agreed upon. Jackson does NOT need a K-12 school. High School students and elementary students should not be in the same facility. I support Pope’s new K-8 school!

I believe all schools should be completely rebuild & revamped. all public schools in Jackson have gone downhill and are constantly getting worse.

I am very disappointed in the 5 board members who continue not to support Dr. Jones. Especially the board member who voted for him and supported him last year. The school board is not a place for people to present their own agenda. It is where children need to be supported in what is best for them.

While certain persons on the board mistakenly think they are protecting the interests of their constituents, they are in fact encroaching on all others'. If you look at the long-term impacts (quantified by Dr. Jones and team's excellent research) this plan has on Jackson, it's obvious that this is the right and only way forward for the ENTIRE community.
