The Australian Government should ensure fair, transparent, and timely processing of work visa applications from Iranian applicants. Delays or an effective suspension of visa processing are causing significant uncertainty, financial hardship, and disruption to the lives and careers of skilled professionals. Iranian applicants should not be unfairly disadvantaged because of their nationality.

Iranian applicants should not be indefinitely penalised because of their nationality or circumstances beyond their control. We understand Australia’s security concerns, but genuine applicants who meet all legal requirements deserve an individual, fair and timely assessment. Visa delays affect students, skilled professionals and families and can seriously disrupt their education, careers and lives.
