The amount of product, high end product, stolen from Del Dotto, alone, warrants far more than a misdemeanor slap on the wrist. A felony was committed. Absolutely enraged by the possibility of a relative walk. No justice served.

Outrageous to allow this criminal to pkead down from a felony. What he did was grand theft.

I support upholding Mr. Hill's felony conviction.

Why would you drop the major financial impact charge in this case and then plead it out... If you were going to accept a plea agreement make it for the entire case, or dump the lesser of the two charges.

Trust is a very important part of doing business. For the Del Dotto family this must be quite difficult as they trust so many people. They provide jobs that support many families. Just think, after Dave gave Jeff an opportunity, Jeff slapped Dave in the face by being dishonest and stealing. So, he should now pay the price and learn the lesson he should have known. Never bite the hand that feeds you!

In is not in the spirit of Napa Valley to allow this theft to be left to the expense of the harmed party.

The crime committed was a felony and should not be treated lightly by the judge. To the Del Dotto Family, I pray justice prevails for you and your case protects other vintners! Kudos to you as well Desiree for holding the criminal accountable for his crime!

Mr Hill should be charged with a felony. A Misdemeanor does not fit the sentence for this crime. I truly hope the justice system is not broken.

I would expect this man to be punished the full extent of the law-NOT let off with a slap on the wrist!

If no jail time is required for this crime as stated others will have no risk of penalty and will continue to steal wine grapes since the punishment would be minimal. Give this person jail time.

This should be a felony. This wasn't a petty theft!

Criminals need to be convicted and sent to jail for stealing to prevent this from happening.
