im hard pressed to believe the only existing options for building a power plant are next to an elementary school.

The precautionary principle should be in effect here. Even if you cannot prove conclusively that the electromagnetic field produced by the substation is causing adverse effects... do we really want our children to be the test subjects?

We must protect our children and support our public schools. This takes precedence over profits for energy companies..
