With the discussion of a new chassis for the Indycar Series in either 2011 or 2012, the Indy Racing League has previously stated that Dallara would be the sole provider of Indycar chassis' when the new car was unveiled. This announcement brought heavy discussion to fans of the series, with much of the discussion about the lack of multiple chassis' now, as well as in the future. To get Indycar racing back to the heights that it once was, one of the nessicary steps is multiple chassis' for the series as soon as possible. It provides better racing, more stories, and more diversity which we as fan desire. Multiple engines and chassis would be very welcome by all fans, however, engines may be out of the control of the Indycar series brass. Multiple chassis' however are not. Those who sign this petition are asking the IRL to step away from a one chassis mentality for the future, and to allow 2, 3, or maybe even 4 chassis manufacturers to join the series when the new car is announced. Allowing multiple chassis' to compete would bring back the diversity at Indianapolis from the past, as well as creating better racing. The cries for multiple chassis' and engines are ongoing from fans, so please, give the fans what you can control, and allow multiple chassis manufacturers to compete when the new car comes out in 2011 or 2012. Thank you.
