We, the undersigned partners of Starbucks 192 & Old Lake Wilson, hereby express our collective discontent and concern regarding the management and operational aspects of our store in recent months. Our aim is to bring attention to the following issues that are negatively impacting the work environment, team morale, and overall performance of our store.
Lack of Partner Hours:
There has been an ongoing and noticeable shortage of partner hours, leading to overworked and stressed team members. Adequate staffing is essential not only for the well-being of the partners but also for maintaining the high standards of service that Starbucks is renowned for.
Communication Breakdown:
Effective communication is crucial for the smooth functioning of any team. Unfortunately, there has been a consistent lack of clear communication within our store. Important information is not reaching all team members, resulting in confusion, frustration, and a lack of cohesion among staff.
Leadership Failures:
We believe there have been failures in leadership that are falling short of upholding the standards of a positive work environment promised by Starbucks. The atmosphere in the store has become strained, and morale is at an all-time low. We seek stronger and more effective leadership to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Unjust Firing of Joe Gonzalez:
The recent termination of our star shift supervisor, Joe Gonzalez, has deeply impacted our team. Joe is widely recognized as one of the best, if not the best, shift supervisors in the store. His positive and encouraging influence has played a significant role in maintaining a cohesive and motivated team. We strongly protest his unjust termination and believe his reinstatement is crucial for the well-being and success of our store.
We, the undersigned partners, call on the district management to:
- Investigate the issues raised and take swift corrective action.
- Ensure adequate partner hours to alleviate overworking and stress.
- Improve communication channels within the store.
- Implement effective leadership strategies to create a positive work environment.
- Reevaluate the termination of Joe Gonzalez and consider reinstating him based on his exemplary record and positive impact on the store.
