After the major recession and all of the debt which is being paid back by all of us we cannot afford to loose business by any increase of tax on Road diesel. In my case diesel accounts for 0ver 70% of my sales. An increase will also effect transport costs thereby putting another burden on all of us not just businesses.

This change of direction in policy is unacceptable not to mention that motoring costs will increase significantly for 70% of Irish motorists who are currently battling excessive insurance charges also
