Bring Music Back To The ICSHL
As we all know, for all 2013-14 ICSHL games, our IceLine scorekeepers have been instructed to play music simply for warm-ups and warm-ups ONLY. It is to my understanding that the proposition was made at a Coach's meeting this pre-season by the coach of Penncrest and the ruling was stated, then and there, with no objections. As a varsity player, I feel the loss of music this season takes a bit away from the game between stoppages. The fans love it, the players love it, the coaches love it, even the REFS love it! As players, we find ourselves singing along on the bench. Some teams even provide the scorekeepers with playlists! It just doesn't make too much sense to me that Elementary School, Middle School, and Men's House League games can all have music played, yet High School Varsity games cannot. An argument was made along the lines of "this is not the NHL, the players need to hear the coach's instruction." This may not be the NHL, but for 99% of these players, Varsity is as good as it's going to get before Men's League.
**PASS THIS ON TO ANY PLAYERS, FANS, COACHES, REFEREES etc OF THE ICSHL IN PETITION TO BRING MUSIC BACK TO OUR GAMES!!**
