The court has agreed to review the custody arrangement and restore the balance we sought for this family. Witnessing 710 people recognize the injustice of this situation provided the momentum necessary to change the outcome. I encourage everyone to remain mindful of how quickly a stable life can be disrupted …

Please help a military mother petition for the courts to reconsider the custody arrangement. They said they did not want to remove the child from an already stable environment that he was at for X amount of months, which was only because of her deployment. It is a dual military family and they are now limiting her time with her 3yr old son to only 35% therefore she has to pay $500/month to the father who makes at least $700 more than her. Right now she cannot even afford food for herself because of this order put in place. So please help and show your support so maybe we can get the courts to reconsider the custody arrangement. This little boy deserves to have his parents in is life and equal amount of time.

I think it is wrong to do this when the son was with father, because of mom's deployment. We are retired military and we had friends who had to leave children with exs or parents for deployment. This isnt right doing this to this mother.

Um total crap. If they are dual military split custody 50/50, and during deployments the parent not deployed has full custody, resume 50/50 upon the end of deployment. Done, easy peasy, and fair to the child.

just because she is active duty does not mean she doesn't deserve and shouldn't have equal time with her child....how unfair of,the court system...that's how we repay someone for protecting our country....you should be ashamed of yourselves, and you say you are putting the child first...I think NOT....

It shouldn't be held against moms because they serve our country. It sounds like the father is taking advantage of her being deployed. A child needs both parents when at all possible.

The atrocities that this family court is affording this sailor is ridiculos! My sailor daughter is going through a simular situation, and I think it's unfair when these young ladies are trying to better themselves! Give justice to this sailor, and her baby!

Just because a mother deploys doesn't mean she shouldn't retain the original custody agreement. What a way to slap our Military moms in the face! If they had 50/50 before deployment, the order should stand when she returns from deployment!
