Historic Holly Street Not Highway!

Dear Priya, You're welcome. I am sorry that I am just seeing your message here today in April 2015. I did go to your Moveon. petition and signed it. Tweeted about it and placed it on my Facebook page.I will add the embed link to my blog too. I hope this helps. (I have friends throughout the USA/world and perhaps they will sign it too.) I saw in the paper about the law suit being thrown out and perhaps now the city council will sit down with the residents of Holly St and listen to your concerns/ideas.

I don't understand why the City Council decides to change Holly Street without community input/involvement. If this happened in their neighborhood, they would be outraged and it would quickly be quashed!

Save Holly Street! Old County Rd. is now a faster, narrower, two lane road--with MUCH less parking. Not all of the cities "fixes" are the best.

I walk down Holly Street with my dog and feel like I am going to be sideswipped by a fast moving car way too close to the sidewalk! UGH!

I am a 25 year resident of the east side of San Carlos. We matter. Residents on Holly Street matter. I concur with the requests noted in this communication. Keep out neighborhood safe!

This is a great idea to help the neighbors on Holly Street. I hope this really does make a difference in how the City of San Carlos treats its residents & the people who voted them into office. Good Luck !!

City's process needs to include neighborhood input with an updated traffic report based impacts of new developments proposed around the neighborhood.

Our small town seems to be getting greedy

Cars are not the only things on public spaces !

Palo Alto has kept University Ave as a 1 lane road and Menlo Park has kept Willow Road as a 1 lane road for traffic as well. The leadership in those two cities respected the residents who live on their respecive traffic corridors. San Carlos City Council and City Staff need to learn a lesson from these communities.

It is a travesty what has happened to the residents of Holly Street. Also, putting a highway through Greater East San Carlos destroys the fabric of the overall neighborhood. The City needs to study alternatives instead of continually heaping impact onto Holly Street and Greaster East San Carlos. Thanks to Priya for not taking no for an answer.
