I have been lucky to have gotten a great education. I have a bachelor’s from Stanford and a law degree from the University of Chicago. All of it made possible on the foundation of an amazing primary and secondary public school education in Darien, Illinois. And whenever I am asked who was the best teacher I ever had, my answer is quick: Mr. Lathrop.

Mr Harold Lathrop was an inspirational teacher that made science interesting and was able to help me understand the difficult concepts. He is one of only a handful of teachers that I remember having made an impact on my life. It would be great if others saw him in the same light and recognized him in the HSHS HOF.
