This is the craziest thing I have ever seen. Not allowed to have a water bottle of any sort? And why, what is the reason? Does this school not realize the need to stay hydrated??? You should be drinking all day long. Constantly going to a water fountain cannot be good for a classroom, it must be an interruption. And frankly kids may not do it because it's not easy. Then they dehydrate. Is this Bear Bryant and old school football? Let these kids drink!

Kids should be able to have water bottles and not have to use the water fountain all the time and notes from the doctor is ridiculous

My elementary children bring water bottles every day. That's all they bring to drink at school. They should still be able to in the coming years to stay hydrated.

Unless the water bottles are being disruptive in class, what is the issue? A doctors note to drink bottled water is ridiculous! Is there really nothing else to focus attention on than keeping our students hydrated? Until there is a way to sanitize water fountains 24/7, they will never be clean enough to drink out of.

Every person deserves the right to clean and easily accessible water. Water fountain pose a high risk of germs to the students.

My kids come home dehydrated and very thirsty. I have to take them to the doctor in order to get them notes to carry water at school. All kids should have access to water, to be able to carry water, at all times.

Access to drinking water throughout the school day can keep students awake and alert, and even bolster academic performance.Plus...water fountains are germmie!

Hydrated children have more energy and learn better. Don't let the actions of a few bad apples set a precedent for all of the students. Having access to water should be allowed without a "doctor's note".

My daughter needs water to help with her GI tract. She comes home from school extremely thirsty and downs 3 glasses if water.
