Petition for choices of health insurance for the Government of Guam Employees and Retirees

I would like to keep my current Health Insurance!!!!!!

I like having the option to see what fits best for myself, instead if being forced to deal with just 1 insurance. I also like the local benefits and discounts that are offered with the existing insurance companies.

GovGuam members should have a choice on their health care provider. Select care has an awesome program. If it’s not broken DON’T fix it. The government should support the local economy.

Selectcare has been a great Health Plan, for me and my husband, for many years and we’re satisfied with the benefits, & services on island and at St Luke’s BGC. The staff on island and BGC were always helpful with our insurance needs.

Is it true Aetna will be assisted by an HMO in processing and coordination of benefits?

We should be given the choice to select our Insurance provider. Selectcare has always been there for my family. Great benefits as well as service.

Had been working private sector 16yrs and now GovGuam 9yrs. I choose Calvo'sSelectcare because its best for me and my family. Each time (private sector or GovGuam) when given the option, they are my preference of choice. Please don't take this away from us! GovGuam may save, but quite frankly, and if you look up the history of insurance, the majority of "shared" cost is really passed onto consumers. I was single with no dependent for so long so i had my fair share of high deductibles considering i was very healthy. Now that i have a family, i still have deductible plan but Calvo's has always worked with me. Please don't take our options away. I can't afford to change out right now in the middle of on-going medical treatments for a family member. Thanks for listening!

Health insurance is not something politicians should play with. It’s literally life or death. Be careful selected the “cheapest” option. You get what you pay for.
