Dear Ms. Trish Fisher:

It is with great sadness that we submit this petition requesting that you make right any misconducts that Coach Beth endured resulting in her resignation as the Head Coach of the GSY Stingrays. As a team, we stand behind Coach Beth and know we will not be the team we were without her as our leader. She has connected with our swimmers and families offering strength, compassion, a tremendous skill set, dedication and motivation in a manner many of us have not experienced in a coach before.

It seems that you must be unaware of the heart and commitment Coach Beth brings to this team or else these transgressions would not have happened. She was able to combine strength, firmness, skills, and compassion, which is rare and invaluable in a coach. She also dedicated much of her time and attention to our team. She would stay after practices to work with swimmers on areas of struggle, she volunteered to meet with some in the off season if they wanted to do some extra work, she provided parents with thorough communications to keep them informed, and she would get in the pool and was very hands on which is not common in swim coaches. She also lead the coaching staff with professionalism and respect that was apparent as we watching them work so well together.

Please accept this petition as our wholehearted recommendation that you correct any misconducts regarding Coach Beth so that she can consider returning to the Head Coach position at GSY. Her ability to combine her extensive knowledge, compassion, dedication, strength, and discipline is a tremendous asset to our team. She has instilled hard work, teamwork, leadership, confidence, self esteem, and integrity in our children. These qualities are irreplaceable.

Sincerely,

The GSY Stingrays Swim Team Swimmers and Families
