I've been to one con and am attending a couple more this year. I, myself am not a good dancer, but I like to listen to things other than just blaring pulsing noise.

Yeah, I agree with this. Granted that I've only been to one Con, I was displeased with the fact that there was only EDM. After reading about BLFC2015, I was pleased to see they had themed nights. I loved the idea behind themed nights. Tl;Dr - I'd prefer a night of slow dances and assorted other Genres.

I would like to see some more variety in the rave nights at cons too. Granted many cons have been good with having a "retro" hour or two, but would be good to have some flux through the night. With the upcoming theme of Diner at FC 2016, I could see a huge 50's era push...maybe even a sock hop style dance on one of the nights?

Even though I am not a dancer or anything, I frequently watch dance competitions and wonder why mostly EDM is played all the time. It's very rare to hear anything besides that, granted sometimes things other than EDM is played but very minimally. Where's the Jrock/pop? Where's the K pop, R &B? Where are today's billboard hits and stuff to play. Just a variety would be nice

I'm a very musically diverse person. I can get down to rock, J-pop, K-pop, Hip hop, R&B, EDM, Chillstep, Dubstep, Line dance music, Pop music, classical, Video game music.
Anything but country and gospel.
I don't have anything AGAINST EDM music and things that fall within that category.
HOWEVER as a dancer, and per the points made above, there is only so much jumping around I can do.
Why can't the Floor wars DJ's do some sets at night?
I just...want something....I can ACTUALLY dance to.
