Dear Mr. Masasumi Imai ,

We as dedicated Fujifilm X users want to thank you for bringing s the fantastic Fujifilm X cameras. We are all happy friends of your 'X-tra Ordinary Children'.

Unfortunately Fujifilm , unlike Canon and Nikon, did not allow 3rd party accessories to access their Exceptional Xpro and X-T cameras by USB.
It is very disappointing because these Fujies in particular are fantastic professional cameras.
The Fuji XPro2 is my personal all time favourite.

  • I have been a professional photographer since the mid 1970's. Won 3x in a row the Dutch Wedding photography contest by Kodak ... on Fuji Film ;-) So in a sense a great ambassador for Fujifilm.

What does it mean if the USB connection is accessible by 3rd party accessories?

  • Very Simple: You can unleash hidden features in the Fujifilm X-series like extended HDR bracketing options, very-long time exposures, focus stacking , advanced time-lapse shooting, and any combination of the above. With specialist equipment like the Promote remote control and a huge array of Timelapse controllers you could use the Fuji X series in creative manners now only achievable by cameras of a lesser breed : Nikon and Canon.

We Fujifim-Xpro and Fujifilm-X-T users would like to have the same choice of aftermarket camera control systems as the Nikon and Canon shooters have. So we can finally ditch those non Fujifilm compatible systems and focus 100% on our beloved Fujifilm X cameras.

Please Mr. Masasumi Imai ,
Make third party USB control of the Fujifilm X series possible where you can - a little change of Firmware might be all it takes. We thank Fujifilm for listening to their customers every time again and sincerely hope Fujifilm will continue this tradition also in this USB connection Petition ;-)

Thank You:

On behalf of all Fujifilm X-Users :

Jacob the Photographer in Australia.
