Everyone should get a chance for leadership. Some people may come from a background of where they don't have the chance to become leaders and teachers can't base judgements off of that. That is why this is a much better method as we as students will choose and there are no hard feeling as only one person will be chosen out of the many.

Definitely a clear example of the school violating what they set out to do in the first place. A quote from the Vice President in a View article (http://www.fhsview.com/news/2016/04/28/flint-hill-revamps-student-presidential-election-process/) says, "The purpose of the petitioning process is it to make sure that students who are passionate about leadership and qualified aren't left out of the election process." Arnav and David stand as clear exemplars of individuals who are passionate and have done so much outside the typical constraints of leadership. Not to mention that FHS accepted their petitions and recognized them as candidates. It is not fair, AT ALL, to give people false hope that they will be able to serve in a position that they are excited about and then snatch it away from them. Arnav and David would definitely have been able to do something different with the leadership of this school, and due to this administrative action, we will continue to deal with the same do-nothing SCA president- type we have dealt with for the past two years.

Zero tolerance for the ineptness of those who made this decision, we should have; create more drama than the students, they do; more common sense, they need. Let the force be with David and Arnav

Everyone deserves a fair chance. Let the students decide. Do not shatter a student's dream. They will only be in High School for a very short time. Good luck guys!

This is just so unfair. They should both get a chance.
