No words can express the comfort a dog brings to people under emotional turmoil and to students who are far away from home.

Clearly, this animal is only good for the school's image. Please allow her back where she belongs, with her human and with the students.

Not only was this handled unprofessionally by your HRL staff, but has been hurtful to the student body.

LET IVY COME BACK! Why do people insist on making rules that hurt people?! Love, is not an "unprofessional" thing. LOVE CONQUERS ALL! WE LOVE IVY!

Dogs bring comfort to humans and teach humans compassion. The UofRI as a place of education should be smart enough to understand and not ban Ivy! That would just be stupid education!!!

The higher ups have no compassion. The students WANT her here. Quit with the power play and take CARE of your students!

What a very negative action to take for everyone involved. Therapy dogs are a very important part of their human companions' lives & are needed for their non-judgemental acceptance and affection.

Ivy is a certified therapy dog helping students deal with school and personal stress while trying to keep their grades up. Why ban this beautiful dog that is helping the students? Better for the students to learn to deal with stress by visiting with Ivy rather than by drinking or doing drugs. What a bad, archaic attitude this school has.

She is a beautiful dog! I hope she is allowed to come back.

What an awful thing for URI to do! When I was a student, there were many dogs on campus. The one who I can really remember was named Heathcliff and he was a fraternity mascot. Dogs never were a problem at URI. Bring Ivy back. I will even send her a care package once she's back.
