I live in killaloe and everyday I have to avoid the Ballina birdhill road and take the back road to Nenagh to the motor way.

This issue is extremely urgent and needs to be addressed immediately. What are the County Council waiting for - a fatality? Using the building of the bridge as an excuse is ridiculous at this stage.

Three weeks ago a visiting colleague lost a tyre and almost a wheel and had to call the AA to fix it while we waited in Goosers. 20'' Runflat for BMW740i costs €450 and I have urged him to sue the Council. I now have to drive to Birdhill or Limerick on a regular basis to meet business colleagues as I cannot ask them to travel that road to visit our village. Shame on NT County Council for presiding over this fiasco, You are not worthy of a public salary

MY HUSBAND SHREDDED A TYRE IN ONE OF THE GIANT POTHOLES - HIDDEN BY HEAVY RAIN AND FILLED WITH WATER - DAMAGED ANOTHER ALSO...SICK OF THE TOLL TAKEN ON OUR VEHICLES...

It's wrecking our cars and my husband just went into a pothole and blew his tyre, for such a busy road it is not up to standards that are necessary for us to have a smooth drive into our beautiful area of Ballina and Killaloe

The Killaloe (Clare) roads are superb and go on for many kilometres. Yet we are told on the Tipp side that we have to wait for the new bridge works to repair and upgrade the much shorter R494. So how have Clare Co.Co. been able to upgrade their roads in past 2 years? We can only presume that Tipp Co.Co. really dont care or have the same standards!

This road is a major hazard due to the poor quality of it's surface and the enormous potholes caused by heavy rain. The potholes are filled in but only last until the next downpour. Surely we pay enough taxes to have this road resurfaced coming in to one of the areas most visited beauty spots.
